Often times I come across beautiful pieces that I know I will not be able to sell. They may be stained, tattered, or destroyed. But they contain such detail and beauty, that I have to rescue them - if only for a photography moment. The pieces that make up this shoot are a mixture of ones that I have had for years to ones I acquired a few months ago. I hold on to them for years and years because I am waiting for the right model, location, and other matching pieces that can all come together to present a fairytale moment. I have had other antique shops think this idea is crazy. Often I'm told; Sell and move on or don't store something you cant make money off of. That is not my style. This particular shoot I have wanted to do for so very long., I believe it was 2 years ago I got an authentic vintage movie set hot light. I have waited patiently, gathering all the clothes and putting everything together to reveal a whole picture story that is both romance and retro glamour. However, even with all the planning, sometimes things work themselves out on their own. I always went back and forth on if I should do this shoot with dance and ballet or just straight glam.... well, life is life and it all works out just fine if we mix in intent with letting go. Im so proud how this shoot came out and I get to introduce to new amazing talents, as well. Model Lexi and Make Up Artist Neysa met up with myself an our hair stylist Wendy. We all had a blast playing dress up and honoring the past. We certainly hope you enjoy our work! Nothing is really for sale here, but we just wanted to show the importance of preserving even the tattered and broken., because there is beauty in everything and a special; form of art in each of those beautiful vintage pieces. So, the next time you go to thew away something not perfect, find someone who just may love it still, Salvato Collection Online Antique & Vintage Boutique SalvatoCollection.Etsy.com A Deane Images Lexi Hashen, model Neysa Pierre-Francois, MUA Wendy Hashen, hairstylist
