It is coming up on Independence Day., the day filled with fireworks, freedom, celebrations and little crowds all over the states who gather together to share in unity. There are small town and large scale city fairs, fried dough, cotton candy, sparklers and a feeling of excitement in the air. New England has an event in almost every town and many places spend the whole week with day long events that truly entertain and delight. Americans wear red, white and blue with big smiles and cheerful attitudes. It is the day in the US that we feel united with each other - even us 'cold shoulder' Northerners are prone to say "hello" to passer-bys. In honor of our old Massachusetts history and charm., model/make up artist Olivia McDonald ad I hit the coastline in red and navy blue 50s era vintage to take some great shots among the weathered shingles and great big colonials. Our 50s fishermans newsboy cap reminded me of the the Navy, the many service men and women who risk their lives to maintain our freedom. Also now available for sale is this tailored metal zip front jacket with its swirls and enchanted/story book design it felt like an 1800s circus. I could vision pictures of mustached muscle men and trapeze artist with popcorn being spilled by excited children at an old work New England fair. I hope you enjoy the pictures with various quotes and history about Independence Day. I thank you so much for your support. Have a Wonderful, Safe, and Blessed 4th of July... and those not in the US - may you and yours also be blessed and happy. - Xo Amanda, Founder Salvato Collection
