Getting Ready for the Garden.

Before it's all green; it's this. Welcome to gardening in New England. A visitor might see cold and lots of dead things, but we see hope and excitement of a future filled with warm breezes and fragrant florals.

This will be my first Spring in the new home.

Wonderful for me, Elizabeth (the former owner), and I are sorta kindred spirits. She, like myself, loves Alice in Wonderland. And the garden already reflects this imaginative beauty. Recently, I brushed up on my whimsy and read the original Alice in Wonderland to my 2 boys who laughed and enjoyed it much more than I thought they might. The fruit didn't fall far...

Currently I am obsessing about collecting every antique pot I can possibly muster up! Last year I added a very large cement fountain and oversize cement bird bath that looks straight from the late 1800's.

I am also Pintresting every cool idea. And Im buying food for the garden to grow. My goal is to make it look like an original 1875 garden, with a mixture of Secret Garden, Peter Rabbit, and story book charm an whimsy. A place where children can put down the technology and be reintroduced to hide-n-seek, tag, eating berries straight from the vine and hiding out under a trellis of green beans.

My Future Ideas for Garden

My vinatge life. Living like it's a victorian era. I can assure you, it's all very possible, practical  and real. When it warms up outside; you will find me out in the garden, wearing big garden boots and adorable vintage dresses (that were found far to tattered to wear out to the market).

You will find me growing a tea garden, a culinary garden, and organically helping the earth, but also helping my inner being. You will find me having tea in the garden, making memories, laughing with friend, eating, loving, living... of course, you will find me doing all these wondrous things  when you don't find me engaged in my first love of gathering historic and beautiful vintage clothing and accessories.
I am vintage soul and heart:
just like you.

The picture that was shown in this post are so new to my eyes and I can see that it is a perfect place to think and to concentrate. I will be looking forward to make this garden in my brother's house and I know that he will be happy to see this. I love the different furnitures that are used in the garden and it really complements with one another.
